The appellant was charged, by information, in the County Court of McLennan County, Texas, with the violation of the provision of article 170 of the election law passed by the Twenty-ninth Legislature in that he did unlawfully, wilfully and knowingly loan and advance to one A. J. Ray the amount of his poll tax, knowing at the time that the money so advanced and loaned was to be used by Ray to pay such tax.
