Plaintiff Mattie Wright initially filed this lawsuit in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Alabama on September 8, 1999, alleging that defendants Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and Michael Stinson misrepresented to her that she was purchasing a life insurance policy with Metropolitan Life for which all premiums were paid from her existing two life policies, for which no out-of-pocket premiums would be required, and which provided a ‘better deal’ for her than her existing polices.
