Defendant Jouette Arney appeals from a jury con viction of two counts of kidnapping (K. S. A. 21-3420), one count of aggravated battery (K. S. A. 21-3414), an one count of murder in the first degree (K. S. A. 21-3401). Defendant filed a timely motion for a new trial based on numerous claims of procedural error and this appeal follows from a denial of that motion by the trial court.
