In a proceeding pursuant to CPLR article 78, inter alia, to prohibit the City of New Rochelle from eliminating any positions from the existing work force of the city’s police department, the petitioner appeals from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Westchester County, dated March 15, 1976, which dismissed the petition. Judgment affirmed, with $50 costs and disbursements. The petitioner commenced this CPLR article 78 proceeding, inter alia, to review the allocation of funds by the city to the police department under the 1976 budget and the abolition of certain positions in the department.
