These consolidated cases arise from an accident which occurred in Owen County in which a school bus and an automobile were involved. There were two trials of the cases in circuit court. The jury’s verdict in the first trial was in favor of the twenty-one students who were passengers on the bus against the owner and driver of the automobile and against the owner of the school bus and his lessee, Board of Education of Owen County (hereinafter the bus interests).
