On April 3, 2004, a gas explosion occurred at the home of Daisy Hardy in Evansville, Indiana, killing Ms. Hardy and Josie Williams and injuring several others. This lawsuit has been brought by the Estate of Josie Williams (“Estate”) seeking damages from the gas utility and a gas line contractor. The Estate settled its claims against the gas utility and other entities who were defendants in this case prior to its removal from state court, but not its claims against the gas line contractor.…
