The Director of Revenue (the Director) appeals from a judgment of the trial court reinstating the driving privileges of petitioner, Lawrence L. Pearson, after the Director suspended them pursuant to sections 302.700 and 302.755 RSMo (Cum. Supp.2006). 1 We reverse and remand.

On February 4, 2002, petitioner was convicted in Illinois of driving while his license was suspended or revoked. In a notice dated December 23, 2005, the Director informed petitioner that his privilege to drive a Class A, B and/or C commercial motor vehicle would be suspended for one year…
