The instant matter was initiated by Southwest Federal Savings and Loan Association’s (Southwest Federal) pleading filed March 24,1980 denominated Application for Clarification of Status of Debt. Southwest Federal holds a first purchase money mortgage on debtor’s residence at 3507 Pecos, Wichita, Kansas, dated August 27, 1964, duly and timely recorded in Sedgwick County, Kansas. 1 The mortgage secures a loan in the original amount of $22,400 made to debtor and his spouse for their purchase of the subject property.
