This case came before the Supreme Court on November 3, 2008, on appeal by the plaintiffs, eight automobile-tow operators authorized to do business in the State of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Public Towing Association, Inc., a Rhode Island corporation that represents the majority of tow operators in Rhode Island (collectively plaintiffs).
