Plaintiff Gloria E. Delgado appeals the district court’s affirmance of the Social Security Commissioner’s denial of her application for a period of disability and disability insurance benefits (“DIB”). On October 4, 1995, Delgado applied for a *544period of disability and DIB under the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 416(i) and 423, claiming she became disabled on October 29, 1994.
