The defendants in this case were indicted, charged with the crimes of kidnapping, robbery in the first degree, grand larceny in the first degree, and assault in the second degree. They were convicted after trial of robbery in the first degree and assault in the second degree. The evidence which formed the basis of the charges rested upon the testimony of a complaining witness, Narad. His testimony in brief was to the effect that he was accosted by these defendants, one of whom was armed with a gun; that he was forced into his car, driven some distance away, and robbed of the sum of $300 cash…
