O.J. Usoro represented Gwendolyn Sterling, Hazel Clayborne, Nikki Sterling, and Kindell Carrier in a personal injury lawsuit. He appeals from the trial court’s imposition of sanctions against him pursuant to chapter 10 of the Civil Practice and Remedies Code for filing a frivolous lawsuit. Tex. Civ. PRAo. & Rem.Code ANN. § 10.001-.006 (Vernon 2002). The trial court’s sanctions order included a $3,340 penalty to be paid into the registry of the court for the use and benefit of Nikki Sterling and Kindell Carrier.
