Plaintiff in error, Vernon James Sasser, defendant below, was charged by information in the District Court of Cleveland County, Oklahoma, with the crime of embezzlement, allegedly committed against the City of Norman, in the county and state aforesaid. The crime was charged to have been committed on May 31, 1955, and anterior to the filing of said information, from and after the 1st day of May, 1947.
