In this case, the plaintiffs, Generation Partners, L.P. (Generation Partners), and Generation Capital Partners, L.P. (Generation Capital), claim that they are entitled to receive from the defendant, Lloyd Mandell, a “giveback” of certain funds previously paid to him pursuant to a limited partnership agreement between the parties. The plaintiffs appeal from the trial court’s judgment accepting the report of an attorney trial referee (referee) finding in favor of the defendant.
