Reversing.

C. M. Wright was indicted for a violation of Section 1213a, Kentucky Statutes, known as the “Cold Check Law.” At the conclusion of the evidence for the Commonwealth, and again at the conclusion of all the evidence, the accused moved for a directed verdict of acquittal, but in each instance the motion was overruled and the case was submitted to the jury. The jury returned a verdict finding the defendant guilty as charged in the indictment and fixing his punishment at confinement in the penitentiary for a term of one year. From the judgment entered…
