Amy Campbell sued the town of Southern Pines, North Carolina, and certain individual defendants after she was fired from her job as a police officer. Campbell raised Title YII discrimination and retaliation claims as well as various constitutional claims asserted under 42 U.S.C.A. § 1983 (West 2003).
