Defendant appeals from the District Court’s award of $51,603.13 in private-school tuition reimbursement to plaintiffs under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (“IDEA”), 20 U.S.C. § 1400 et seq. The District Court held that the individualized education programs proposed by the defendant school district for the education of the plaintiffs’ daughter were insufficient to provide the student with a “free appropriate public education” as required by the IDEA.
