MEMORANDUM OPINION and ORDER

LARKINS, District Judge:

Plaintiff, an associate professor of history at East Carolina University, brought this suit under Title 42, U.S.C. Section 1983, for wrongful termination of his employment. Specifically, he alleges that he is a tenured professor and the defendants did not follow the detailed requirements for discharge of tenured faculty members specified by University regulations.
