BOWEN, District Judge.

By Order entered January 8, 1993, the Court raised a jurisdictional issue rooted in the possibility that the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), Pub.L. No. 93-406, 88 Stat. 832 (1974) (codified as amended at 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001-1461), might pre-empt one or more of Plaintiffs state-law claims and convert them into federal claims. The Court invited the parties to submit briefs on the issue, and they did so.
