BACKGROUND
This matter comes before the court on the application of Slavitt, Connery & Var-damis (Slavitt) for compensation as special counsel to the debtor pursuant to Bankruptcy Rule 219. A brief description of the arrangements for and scope of the legal services rendered will provide the necessary background for the court’s analysis.
