AINSWORTH, Circuit Judge:

This appeal involves the denial of an application for disability insurance benefits by the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare. Appellant Louvenia Rhynes , applied for a period of disability, disability insurance benefits and supplemental security income under sections 216(i), 223 and 1601-1634 of the Social Security Act, as amended, 42 U.S.C. §§ 416(i), 423 and 1381-1383c, claiming that she has been disabled since February 6,1975 due to a back injury, ulcers and a hiatal hernia.
