On September 13, 1999, Muhammad Shabbir, proceeding pro se, filed this action against defendant Pakistan International Airlines (“PIA”), alleging that he was wrongfully terminated from his employment at PIA, in violation of the First Amendment, based on various political statements he made regarding certain Pakistani government officials.
