—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Dutchess County (Dolan, J.), rendered May 20, 1999, convicting him of assault in the first degree, upon his plea of guilty, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

It is well settled that a motion to withdraw a plea of guilty is addressed to the sound discretion of the County Court (see, CPL 220.60 [3]). Here, the County Court providently exercised its discretion in denying, after a hearing, the defendant’s motion to withdraw his plea.
