After a jury trial, defendant Tracey Brandon was convicted of robbery, a violation of section 18—1 of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Code) (720 ILCS 5/18—1 (West 1992)). Defendant now appeals his conviction. We affirm.

In April 1994, defendant was charged by information with one count of robbery. In February 1995, a second-amended information additionally charged defendant with one count of theft, a violation of section 16—1(a)(1)(A) of the Code. 720 ILCS 5/16—1(a)(1)(A) (West 1992).
