This is an original action in quo warranto and mandamus filed in the Supreme Court by the Attorney General, the Secretary of Corrections, and the Director of the Kansas State Penitentiary. The plaintiffs challenge the decision of the Sedgwick County District Court which denied motions to quash two subpoenas duces tecum.
