On March 26, 1991, the circuit court of McLean County entered judgment on a jury verdict finding defendant Eugenio Flores guilty of possession of more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of cannabis (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 56V2, par. 704(d)), but not guilty of possession with the intent to deliver cannabis (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 561/2, par. 705(d)). He was subsequently sentenced to 8 days’ periodic confinement in the county jail, 30 months’ probation, and a street-value fine of $830. Defendant appeals, contending the evidence…
