This is an action of trespass on the case for trover and conversion, orginally brought in the District Court of the Sixth Judicial District, and from there transferred to the Superior Court on claim of jury trial.

In the Superior Court, on trial with a jury, at the conclusion of the testimony the court directed a verdict for the defendant, and the plaintiff duly excepted. Within seven days after notice of such decision the plaintiff gave notice of his intention to prosecute a bill of exceptions to this court, moved the Supe rior Court to fix the time within which he should file his bill of…
