MEMORANDUM

TROUTMAN, District Judge.

In this employment discrimination action, defendants have filed a motion for summary judgment. Asserting jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. § 1331 and § 1343 and 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-5(f), plaintiff, a black female, charges that defendants violated her employment rights under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and § 2000e et seq. by discriminatorily failing to promote her to the position of Social Worker III on January 1, 1973, and by causing her discharge in June 1973.
