delivered the opinion of the court.

A proceeding was begun in the County Court of Cook county under the Pauper Act, against the plaintiff in error, Henry Peters, hereinafter called defendant, to compel him to support his grandchild, Eddie Peters. The County Court entered an order that the defendant pay five dollars a week toward the support of the said grandchild, from which order the defendant appealed to the Circuit Court of Cook county. On motion of the People the Circuit Court dismissed the said appeal for want of jurisdiction on the ground that no appeal lies…
