A jury convicted Appellant, Vellar Clark, III, of capital murder and sentenced him to life in prison with no possibility of parole. Tex. Penal Code § 19.03. He appealed, claiming that he was denied due process at his trial. The court of appeals affirmed the conviction. Clark v. State, 305 S.W.3d 351 (Tex.App.-Houston [14th Dist.] 2010).
