A Maine company, Auto Europe, LLC, brought this diversity action against Connecticut Indemnity Company (“Cl”), seeking a declaratory judgment that the insurance company has a duty to defend Auto Europe in a pending consumer fraud suit. The district court, over Cl’s objection, concluded that Maine is the proper venue for the coverage dispute, Maine substantive law governs it, and Cl has a duty to defend Auto Europe.
