— In a negligence action to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the defendant Town of Oyster Bay appeals (1) from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Roberto, J., at trial on liability; Ain, J. at trial on damages), entered December 1, 1989, which, upon jury verdicts as to liability and damages, is in favor of the plaintiffs and against it in the amount of $821,000, and (2) from so much of an order of the same court, entered December 18, 1989, as denied its motion to set aside the verdict on the issue of damages as excessive.
