Section 324A of the Restatement (Second) of Torts imposes negligence liability, when certain conditions are met, on a party whose negligent performance of a contractual undertaking causes foreseeable physical harm to a nonparty to the contract. The present appeals require us to determine the scope of this duty under unusual circumstances.
