The first four of these cases are actions at law which have been tried before juries and brought to the law court by the parties against whom verdicts were rendered, upon motion for new trials based upon the usual grounds, that the verdict in each of the several cases was against the law and the evidence and the weight of evidence. The last two of the six cases are equity causes which were heard by a single justice and are brought here upon appeals by the *273parties against whom the decrees were made.
