This matter comes before the Court on Juan Morales’ Motion to Suppress (Doc. 34). Morales contends that evidence of methamphetamine and cocaine obtained during a traffic stop should be suppressed because the stop was not justified at its inception and his consent to search was invalid because of an unreasonable detention. Specifically, Morales argues that the stop was not justified' because the highway patrolman misinterpreted Kansas traffic law about whether a turn signal is required when two lanes become one.
