This was an action brought by Fred Kuckkuck, through Louise Kuckkuck, his next friend, against the Chicago and Alton Railroad Company, to recover damages for injuries received by him from being bitten by two dogs upon the premises of said company, on July 13,1899. The declaration charges appellant with wrongfully and knowingly keeping, harboring and controlling the dogs upon its premises, well knowing that they were of a vicious and ferocious nature and accustomed to attack and bite mankind.
