Appellant, Mr. Walter W. Meek, at the time in question was a newspaper reporter employed by Phoenix Newspapers, Inc. He attended a preliminary examination involving a criminal complaint against one Danny Lee Eckard. Meek testified that he attended the preliminary hearing for a three-fold purpose. First, he had been requested by his employer to report the proceedings for the newspaper.
