Plaintiff, Pauline E. Wies, a maiden lady, at the time of the filing of her bill of complaint on May 17,1939, was approximately 68 years of age. During her adult life, she had followed the vocation of teaching and was so engaged up to and including the year 1937. She had acquired, either by inheritance or through her own endeavors, or by both, considerable property of the value of about $60,000, consisting of stocks, bonds, mortgages and real estate, including the home in which she resided in Highland Park.
