OPINION AND ORDER DENYING HABEAS CORPUS PETITION

ROBERTS, District Judge.

This matter is pending before the Court on a pro se habeas corpus petition filed by Darryl Siebert (“Petitioner”). The Court has concluded for the following reasons that the petition must be denied.

I. Background

In 1979, Petitioner was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony firearm. On November 5, 1979, Petitioner pleaded guilty in case number 79-6909 to one count of second-degree murder, Mich. Comp. Laws § 750.317.
