Kathleen McCarthy filed suit against Ameritech Publishing, Inc. (API) and AT & T, her former employers, to recover damages for claims related to the August 2008 termination of her employment. The merits of those claims are the subject of a separate appeal. This appeal concerns a litigation dispute that arose during the course of that case. McCarthy submitted several requests for admission (RFAs) to API, but API refused to admit the veracity of the disputed facts.
