SWEET, District Judge.

This is a hard fought litigation over a fund presently held by the Consul General of Lithuania, duly appointed by the regime that was in authority prior to the annexation of Lithuania by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (“USSR”), an act which to date remains unrecognized by our Government. The fund results from the administration of the estate of John Daniunas, who died intestate in 1931 in Maryland. The sole heir of John Daniunas was Aniele Daniuniene, who died intestate in Lithuania.
