Appellee brought suit against appellant and other railway corporations which operate lines of railway, constituting the connecting roads from Benton Harbor, Mich., by way of Chicago, to Minneapolis, Minn., to recover the value of two car loads of apples that were delivered in October and November, 1889, by appellee to appellant for shipment, one car load from Water vliet and the other from Benton Harbor, both in Michigan, to be carried to Minneapolis, Minn. A trial before the court, without a jury, resulted in a finding and judgment against appellant for $985, the plaintiff having amended by…
