Appellee, the maternal grandmother of Y. R. V. and M. A. V., filed a petition to adopt her two granddaughters. The petition alleged that appellant, the children’s natural father and former husband of appellee’s daughter, abandoned the children in that he failed to make court-ordered support payments. The children’s natural mother has consented to the adoption by appellee.
