This matter comes before the Supreme Court on the defendant’s appeal from a judgment in favor of the plaintiff. We affirm.

The plaintiff, International Depository, Inc. (International), filed this action against defendant, State of Rhode Island (state), in the Washington County Superior Court in February of 1985. International sought $456,508 for storage of hazardous waste for the state, relying upon the theory of quantum meruit.
