Ex Parte Sonnier

This Court granted the petition of the defendants Marc Q. Sonnier, M.D., Robert van der Meer, M.D., and Flowers Hospital, Inc., for a writ of certiorari to review the judgment of the Court of Civil Appeals. That court reversed a summary judgment in favor of the defendants in an action filed by Tammy Talley and Lawrence Talley1 based on allegations that the defendant doctors had performed an unnecessary hysterectomy and had later misrepresented that Mrs. Talley had had cancer.
