MICHAEL, Senior District Judge.

Introduction

This case arises out of a one-vehicle automobile accident in which the driver, Angela Lamonds, was ejected through the rear window of her 1988 Chevy Spectrum. Ms. La-monds was severely injured in the accident and suffered permanent brain damage. The plaintiff filed a motion for judgment in the Circuit Court for the County of Louisa, Virginia alleging negligent and defective design and sale of the Spectrum.
