From the foregoing statement of facts it appears that Brown & Randolph Co. gave the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. a deed to secure debt, which was a first lien on the property. Brown & Randolph Co. owned the property at Marietta and Forsyth streets. They employed A. Y. Gude & Co. to construct the building known as the Transportation building on the property. In constructing the building Gude & Co. obtained a lien for work done and material furnished in its construction.
