delivered the opinion of the court.

Plaintiff Louis E. Skolnik obtained a judgment by confession on October 10,1950, in the suin of $22,023.34, and costs. The note confessed on was for $20,000, executed by Susco Production, a corporation, Manford S. Susman, individually, in Houston, Texas, and defendant Eobinson in Chicago, Illinois, on July 1, 1950. The note was due on or before September 29, 1950. The signature of defendant Eobinson is immediately below that of Susman. It provided for the confession of judgment by the holder, without the issuance of process,…
