This was a bastardy proceeding against the appellant, in which the venue was changed to the court below from the Blackford Circuit Court. The transcript of the justice of the peace before whom the proceeding was instituted, as set forth in the transcript of the record before us, shows an affidavit in bastardy against the appellant, subscribed and sworn to by the relatrix before the justice on the 19th of January, 1897, and shows that on the same day a warrant was issued for the appellant returnable forthwith, which was delivered to a constable named.
