LARIMER, District Judge.

INTRODUCTION

Petitioner Deon Dawson was convicted of two counts each of murder, second degree, kidnaping, first degree and robbery, first degree in Monroe, New York, County Court, and sentenced to two consecutive terms of twenty-five years to life. On July 15, 1999, Dawson filed the present petition for habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Dawson claims that his confession was improperly introduced at his trial, since it was the product of an arrest without probable cause and since he was denied counsel at the time of the confession.
